FANUC is set to showcase its latest series of ROBOSHOT injection moulding machines at the K 2025 exhibition in Düsseldorf, 8th-15th October. Visitors to Stand A50 (Hall 14) will discover the advanced benefits offered by the flexible, fast and cost-saving ROBOSHOT SC series, which retains the compact footprint of its predecessor while accommodating larger and deeper moulds. Mould shops and plastics manufacturers also stand to gain from faster operating speeds, more injection unit combinations, new energy-saving features and smart AI functionality.
The latest ROBOSHOT S180C model will be in action live on Stand A50 as part of a demonstration cell producing components from a biopolymer material. This reinforces FANUC’s commitment to sustainability and follows the company’s recent Platinum rating from globally recognised sustainability experts, EcoVadis.
Having developed all-electric injection moulding machines for more than 40 years, FANUC is now fulfilling customer requests for more production flexibility by introducing a wider range of screw diameters, increased clamping force, extended clamp open/close stroke, a significantly expanded platen size and extended tie-bar spacing. There is also more space around the ejector, making it easier to install and remove the mould for faster cycle times and more product throughput per hour. The new ROBOSHOT remains as compact as ever however, helping manufacturers to maximise their productivity while minimising costs.
In addition, new energy management features enable lower power consumption. For example, a new plasticising energy monitor contributes to savings through better energy balance in heat transfer, shear and energy loss, while an eco-temperature adjustment function also supports reduced energy use.
In further efforts to minimise running costs, the ROBOSHOT injection moulding series – which already boasts the lowest total cost of ownership in the market – now also comes with a special service package that covers maintenance and repairs for up to eight years.
Visitors to the FANUC stand at K 2025 can also enjoy live demonstrations of new AI software to improve energy efficiency and support troubleshooting. Further innovations on show will include the ROBOSHOT LINKi2 IoT quality information management tool, new interfaces for connection to third-party systems, and FANUC’s FIELD system Basic Package, an all-in-one platform designed to facilitate the digital transformation of manufacturing processes.
