PlastikMedia is managed by Jessica Futcher, a marketing professional who has been working with sister company, PlastikCity, for four years. This experience has given her a good knowledge of the UK plastics market and the companies working within it.
Our Managing Director, Carl Futcher, has over 30 years’ experience in the UK plastics market having previously been Sales Director of Sandretto before his 15 years managing leading injection moulding machine supplier, Negri Bossi.
Complementing the team is Richard Stamps, who has 18 years in the plastics industry, having managed a moulding company and held senior sales positions at companies including Nickerson and Negri Bossi. A highly experienced digital media team provides all the technical and creative support to design, build and deliver the content.
During their time Carl and Richard worked with many marketing companies, organising PR, creating marketing campaigns and advising on advertising and managing websites. The problem they continually found was that they had to provide detailed content to the marketing companies who had no idea of their industry, products, target audience, and competitors. The marketing companies simply made it presentable and delivered it to the market. These companies didn’t even have contacts or influence with the relevant media so they often had to use their own channels to get articles published.
As a result, the marketing function was often neglected, especially when the team was busy and didn’t have the time or focus to create the detailed information required by the marketing companies
They decided there was a gap in the market for a company to provide all the modern marketing techniques coupled with experience in the plastics industry that would take this workload off the clients. They can get on with their jobs and the marketing company can use their experience to create and deliver accurate, often technical content, for successful, continuous and focussed marketing campaigns.
Utilising these principals, PlastikMedia was created as an extension to PlastikCity, who already had a huge market reach they could tap into. In the space of three years PlastikCity became the number one resource for the UK plastics industry with a website consisting of over 500 pages and Google page one rankings for over 100 target key phrases. This experience has been taken over to PlastikMedia.
