Ampacet, a global masterbatch leader is pleased to announce the extension of its ProVital™+ LaserMark portfolio of masterbatches designed for high-contrast laser marking using Nd:YAG on medical devices, in-vitro diagnostic equipment and packaging systems.
Medical marking is critical in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, ensuring product safety, traceability, quality, sterility, and regulatory compliance. Markings may include batch numbers, UDI codes, expiration dates, operating instructions, component references, compliance symbols (CE, FDA, ISO, MDR), and company logos.
Among available technologies, laser marking is increasingly preferred due to its precision, durability, and efficiency.
Ampacet ProVital™+ LaserMark masterbatch solutions are designed to provide high-definition laser marking for medical plastic components, with solutions available for both light- and dark-coloured parts.
Dark Markings on Light-Coloured Parts
ProVital™+ LaserMark 1513 produces dark, high-contrast markings on transparent, translucent, white and light-coloured PE or PP parts. ProVital™+ LaserMark 1514 offers an antimony-free alternative for white and light-coloured PE or PP parts. The raw materials used in both solutions have been successfully pre-evaluated for ISO 10993-5, -10 and -23 and Ph. Eur. 11th edition, monograph 3.1.3.
Light Markings on Dark-Coloured Parts
ProVital™+ LaserMark 772 produces light, high-contrast markings on black and dark-coloured plastic parts, particularly for moulding and sheet extrusion applications. Its raw materials have been successfully pre-evaluated according to ISO 10993-5 and -23.
The ProVital™+ LaserMark range is manufactured with consistent process parameters, a no-change policy for raw materials and production in ISO 13485 certified sites.
