Bausano Customers Benefit from High-Speed Production, Without Compromising on Quality

Higher performance and energy savings are distinctive features of Bausano extrusion lines for pipe for either single or dual output.

Demand for plastic pipe is growing, and Bausano – an international leader in the design and production of customised extrusion lines for the transformation of plastics – is responding by developing increasingly efficient and sustainable extrusion technologies dedicated to the production of flexible or rigid PVC pipes, and PP, PE, HDPE and LDPE.

Bausano’s MD and E-GO twin-screw and single-screw lines stand out for the production of rigid or flexible, single-layer or multi-layer, and smooth or corrugated tubes intended for different applications: from construction to agriculture, telecommunications to medicine.

High-speed Accuracy

Bausano’s extrusion line for PVC pipes is made up of a counter-rotating twin-screw extruder model MD Nextmover 170/30 and reaches a total production of 2,000 kg/h for diameters from 63 mm to 160 mm. Equipped with a two-outlet head made of stainless steel and completely thermoregulated both externally and internally, it features:

  • gravimetric doser, which guarantees maximum precision in the amount of incoming material
  • two 9m parallel calibration benches in a double chamber for perfectly customised tubes with a perfectly smooth surface
  • highly-efficiency internal pipe cooling system for faster cooling of the tubes, which increases the performance of the line in terms of efficiency

Bausano’s offer is completed with end-of-line accessories such as the haul-off system and cutting unit.

Energy Efficient

To guarantee the energy efficiency of the extrusion line, there are two innovative systems:

Bausano’s Smart Energy System – Thanks to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the patent-pending Smart Energy System allows faster and more uniform heating of the barrel and, therefore, of the processed material, which translates into energy savings of up to 35%.

Digital Extruder Control 4.0 – With its 21-inch screen, the consumption of each phase of the process can be precisely monitored via Digital Extruder Control 4.0. The real-time visualisation of machine performance allows intervention and management of the power of the motors, the temperature, the control of the oil control unit, the adjustment of the screws and other parameters on request.
