Plastribution has announced the return of the hugely successful Festival of Polymer Innovation (FOPI), the UK polymer industry’s free-to-attend, festival-style conference. With its successful debut in 2024, the event will be back, bigger, bolder and ‘Back in Black’, on Thursday 11th September 2025, at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre in Warwickshire.
Combining high-impact presentations with street food, live music, and a relaxed festival atmosphere, FOPI offers an innovative twist on the ‘normal’ industry conference. With more than 400 attendees expected in 2025, this one-day event is shaping up to be a key fixture in the UK plastics industry calendar.
A Conference Like No Other
The headline conference, powered by ENGEL UK and hosted by the British Plastics Federation, will take place on the Mainstage—an impressive 600+ capacity arena equipped with immersive AV tech. Talks will focus on the future of polymer processing, sustainability, and advanced materials innovation.
The first major speaker has already been confirmed: AO Recycling, the UK’s leading recycler of fridges and large domestic appliances, will share valuable insights from the frontlines of sustainable plastics reuse.
Festival Vibes Meet Industry Insight
This year’s theme brings a festival feel to every aspect of the event. Expect tribute acts, food trucks, and entertainment alongside exhibitions and networking. The Summit Stage, hosted by Summit Systems, returns as the home of live performances, including tributes to Arctic Monkeys and AC/DC.
Meanwhile, the Networking Marquee, organised by Interplas Insights and BP&R, provides a backstage pass to leading names across the sector, including Denholm Good Logistics, Sierra 57 Consult, FOAMO Cup, Gunther UK, Sumika Polymer Compounds, and more to be announced.
An Inclusive Event for the Whole Industry
From seasoned professionals to curious newcomers, FOPI is open to anyone involved in the plastics industry. Whether you work in packaging, retail, OEM manufacturing or brand ownership, you’ll find valuable insights and opportunities to connect.
While FOPI is packed with content related to high-volume production methods like moulding and extrusion, there will be limited relevance for those focused solely on 3D printing. That said, anyone interested in broader material science and processing methods may still find the day worthwhile.
Free to Attend – Register Now
As with last year, entry is completely free, with support from PlastikCity providing complimentary lunch from hand-picked street food vendors. Free parking, partner hotel discounts, and shuttle services from nearby transport hubs make attending easy from anywhere in the UK.
