Gi-3 GROWTH PARTNERS Ltd, through its investment vehicle Gi-3 Growth Holdings Ltd, has agreed terms to acquire a controlling stake in Fimark Ltd from the estate of founder Charles Dean, who passed away earlier this year.

Fimark, founded in 1997, is a leading UK specialist in premium industrial laser etching, engraving, marking and texturing, serving aerospace, automotive, defence, medical and industrial sectors. The company will continue to build on its reputation for high-precision surface finishing on complex geometries and advanced materials.

As part of the acquisition, Christopher Shelley has been appointed Executive Chair, Henning von Spreckelsen becomes Chief Technology Officer, and Jad Cockram remains as Production Manager and Director, with Tim Jones continuing as Company Secretary.

Gi-3 Growth Partners and Gi-3 Growth Holdings are owned and managed by Shelley, von Spreckelsen and Simon Duncan, who met through the Engineering in Business Fellowship (formerly Sainsbury Management Fellowship) in the 1990s.

Gi-3 aims to honour Charles Dean’s vision while leveraging its leadership team’s extensive experience and networks to provide stability, strategic oversight and growth opportunities for Fimark’s dedicated workforce and loyal customers.
