The fact that digitalisation has become indispensable in mould making and hot runner technology in order to optimise processes and increase productivity was once again demonstrated at the HASCO Days 2023 in Austria. The aim is to master the challenges of the future of modern mould making together.
In mid-September, around 200 participants came to Guntramsdorf, Austria, to hear and discuss presentations by HASCO experts and external guest speakers. They accepted the invitation of HASCO Austria GmbH, the branch of the Lüdenscheid-based standard parts manufacturer. For the international guests, the second day was held in English.
The lectures by HASCO specialists on topics such as “Digitalisation meets standardisation” and “The digital path to hot runner technology of the future” were rounded off by specialist contributions from well-known speakers from the industry. Andreas Schober from Ulysses reported on “Data-driven processes – work smarter” and Mario Bruckner, Wittmann presented the concept of “DC technology for an innovative concept solution for climate-neutral production”. Here, renewable direct current from solar power is used to drive the machines.
Many discussions at the event focused on the overarching goal of breaking new ground for modern mould making through digital tools and technologies. Solutions that make mould making and plastics processing leaner and more productive. That make the knowledge about tools, processes and components transparent. Knowledge that the tool manufacturer uses to organize project processes. Insights that support increasing tool life and predicting maintenance intervals.
In addition to the specialist lectures, HASCO Austria showed the participants the production, the technical center and assembly in Guntramsdorf and offered plenty of time and space for networking as well as optimal opportunities to expand contacts within the industry. A joint dinner at the Schlossberg winery contributed to this.
“It was a pleasure to take part in this all-inclusive event. We were able to learn a lot from the presentations, exchange experiences with colleagues from different countries and had fun during the informal part of the event. One thing was confirmed at the event: the future of mould making lies in digitalisation. Customers, speakers and the HASCO team were extremely satisfied with the overall successful HASCO Days.
