KraussMaffei to Present Digital Injection Moulding Insights at Irish Polymer Group Conference

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

KraussMaffei continues to strengthen its position in the Irish plastics market with its participation in this year’s Irish Polymer Group Conference, taking place at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) in Athlone on 10th April.

At 9.45am, Jonas Schwarz, Global Product Manager Digital Solutions at KraussMaffei, will present:
MAXIMUM INSIGHT, MINIMUM DOWNTIME: Advancements in Injection Moulding Through High-Resolution Data
His session will focus on the role of digitalisation in enhancing injection moulding performance. Attendees will gain insight into how KraussMaffei’s data-driven technologies can significantly reduce downtime, optimise processes, and unlock new levels of transparency on the shop floor.

Jonas will explore key solutions such as:

processSupport: An autonomous process monitoring tool featuring integrated anomaly detection, which proactively warns users about potential issues before they impact production. This early warning system enhances process stability and minimises the risk of defects.

liveCare: A condition monitoring solution that uses real-time machine data to assess the health of critical components. It forms the basis for condition-based maintenance strategies, helping manufacturers determine optimal component lifetimes and reduce unplanned downtime.

Together, these technologies are helping moulders transition from reactive to predictive operations, improving efficiency and performance at every level of production. This presentation forms part of KraussMaffei’s broader commitment to supporting the Irish plastics industry with innovative, data-led solutions and a strong local presence.
