Pektron Celebrates 10 Years of Injection Moulding Growth in Derby

Pektron’s impressive plastics injection moulding facility in Derby, UK, has doubled in size over the last ten years, now housing 10 ENGEL machines, supported by Summit Systems Ltd for material handling and an enviable CV of experienced moulding engineers.

Pektron designs and manufactures plastic enclosures for demanding engineering applications, taking projects from early development through to full production. Its in-house capability covers component design support, polymer selection, injection moulding, overmoulding, testing, validation and assembly, helping customers bring complex products to market with greater control over quality, performance and lead times.

“We wanted our own injection moulding machines so we could improve enclosure quality for our customers,” explains Pektron’s Manufacturing Director Ian Harpham. “Our facility is world-class, one we are very proud of. It continues to deliver for Pektron and our customers with fast turnaround times in design, development, and testing cycles, as well as in cost effectiveness.”
