Despite the current challenges that many businesses are facing, Patterson & Rothwell has made the bold decision to invest in the renowned BMB 850T injection mould press.

This purchase strengthens the portfolio of Patterson & Rothwell’s current fleet and adds increased flexibility for their customers and potential customers alike. Running 24/5, Patterson & Rothwell can offer serious volume production for the most demanding of clients.

BMB‘s injection moulding machinery has a reputation within the packaging industry; every moulding machine that leaves its factory is a packaging specification machine, regardless of its destination or purpose. This means the machines have perfect configuration of accumulators for high-speed injection, with parallel movements as standard. Furthermore, the universally recognised and admired KW clamping system, due to its unique design, combines the best features of a traditional toggle mechanism and a direct hydraulic clamp system, with its linkages that bend outwards during the opening phase.

With this design, greater opening and closing speeds are achievable with perfect parallelism assured. In addition, longer opening strokes and zero deflection of the platens are inherent features, enhancing the mould’s lifespan and reducing maintenance.

This specific geometry of the toggle mechanism means that the clamping force is not only applied to the centre of the mould, but is uniform across the whole surface of the mould.
