Online procurement and marketing hub PlastikCity has launched its brand-new and improved platform, making it even easier for users to get comparative quotes from British and Irish plastics industry suppliers.
Throughout 2021, the plastics industry procurement hub PlastikCity has been upgrading its website to improve its functionality and usability, as well as updating to fresh, modern branding. With over 1,200 pages now live on the site, the team decided to implement the upgrade in several stages.
The first stage was completed in May 2021, which involved the launch of a re-designed smart search facility, a brand-new homepage, and new page headers. These changes encouraged users to find the required equipment and services via the search bar, ensuring they can quickly and easily find what they’re looking for.
PlastikCity unveiled the final product at the Interplas exhibition in September. This includes upgraded partner profiles, custom-illustrated icons, and re-designed quotation forms. Since the official launch in September, the quote requests sent to partners through the website have increased by 30% – demonstrating how the overhaul has improved user experience.

The work isn’t finished yet! PlastikCity’s development team is now working on an overhaul of its Industry Jobs section, which will see an entirely new design of the job adverts, as well as making it easier for recruiting companies to post their available roles via PlastikCity’s customer dashboard. The new Industry Jobs section is expected to go live before the end of this year.
