DELMIAWorks ERP Integrates with SOLIDWORKS Through 3DXBridge

Plastics manufacturers can now connect Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform with the DELMIAWorks manufacturing ERP system using the newly released 3DEXPERIENCE Bridge (3DXBridge).

3DXBridge creates a ‘single source of truth’ throughout the product lifecycle.

Using the 3DXBridge, manufacturers can connect data from a SOLIDWORKS CAD model to the engineering BOM and the manufacturing BOM and then through the manufacturing process using DELMIAWorks.

DELMIAWorks has a built-in MES system that gives real-time data from the shop floor. This helps identify issues in the original design. Any necessary adjustments can then be applied to the next production run.

Design with SOLIDWORKS

Manufacturers will be able to capture information about cycle times and process information from any machine, work centre or assembly line and track every part through production as they are made.

Using the 3DXBRIDGE effectively joins SOLIDWORKS to this single database.

Manufacturers will be able to analyse the data captured from the manufacturing process (materials consumed, labour used, machine capacity and cycle times, etc.) and identify any issues caused by the initial design.

Once that analysis has been completed, manufacturers can make any modifications to ensure BOMs and production schedules are more accurate and efficient for future cycles through the loop.
