HASCO Expands Thermal Insulating Sheet Range for Enhanced Moulding Efficiency

Thermal insulating sheets prevent uncontrolled heat loss from heated injection moulding and compression moulding tools into the machine platens. HASCO has extended its proven thermal insulating sheet range Z12120/… with additional sheet thicknesses of 6 and 8 mm. The new locating flange variants Z7515/…, Z7526/… and Z7527/… are specifically matched to these thermal insulating sheets. This ensures an accurate fit and high stability, even with demanding applications.
Outstanding insulating performance and process reliability
A low thermal conductivity coefficient, in combination with high long-term thermal resistance, makes the sheets an ideal solution for energy-efficient processes. The excellent chemical resistance enables them to achieve a long service life and consistent reliability, even under extreme application conditions. Through their use, energy savings of up to 50% can be achieved, while a more homogeneous mould temperature improves both component quality and process reliability. Mould temperatures are reached faster after a change, which shortens set-up times and increases productivity.
Precision and dimensional stability
HASCO thermal insulating sheets are made of high-quality glass fibre fabric and high-temperature resin, which gives them excellent dimensional stability. A coefficient of expansion comparable to steel ensures accurate assembly, even under extreme temperatures. With a parallelism of 0.02 mm, a precise mould guide is guaranteed, flash formation is minimised, and ventilation is improved. This also allows for consistent performance and a long service life of the moulding tools in the production process.
Varied designs and optional extras
Available in thicknesses from 5 to 8.5 mm and in all conventional sizes, the platens can be optimally integrated into existing systems. For cleanroom applications, a special PTFE protective coating is available, which prevents particle shedding and blocks the penetration of oils or lubricants – ideal for medical and food technology.
Digital support
The HASCO App contains a practical calculation tool that enables the surface temperature of all thermal insulating sheets to be determined. This makes the selection and design of the respective application even easier.
