RGE Group today announced plans to open a new U.S. manufacturing facility in the Greater San Antonio region, marking the next phase of the company’s global expansion following the successful growth of its operations in the UK and Eastern Europe.

Founded more than 60 years ago and headquartered in Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom, RGE Group specialises in mould tooling, precision plastic injection moulding, and product design across a diverse range of industries. The new Texas facility builds on the company’s growth in the UK, North American and Eastern European markets and further strengthens RGE Group’s global manufacturing footprint.

Scheduled to open in September 2026, the 27,000-square-foot facility in Schertz represents a significant investment in North American manufacturing and regional workforce growth. The site will operate five days a week and is expected to create 50 skilled manufacturing jobs, supporting long-term career opportunities for Central Texas workers.

Designed for high-quality, high-volume production, the facility will manufacture products in the United States for domestic markets. The site will house advanced injection moulding equipment and include built-in capacity for future expansion, enabling RGE Group to scale production as customer demand grows while enhancing supply chain resilience for North American customers.

“Following significant growth in recent years, the establishment of our new manufacturing facility in Texas marks a major milestone in RGE Group’s global expansion strategy,” stated Dan Leach, Managing Director of RGE Group. “RGE Texas will house advanced moulding machinery capable of producing large and technical mouldings for the North American market. The Greater San Antonio region provides the skilled workforce, infrastructure, and favourable business conditions necessary to support our North American customers. We look forward to investing in this community and producing high-quality products in Texas.”

Regional leaders welcomed the announcement, citing the project’s alignment with long-term economic development goals.

“RGE Group’s decision to locate in Schertz underscores why the Greater San Antonio region continues to attract high-quality manufacturing investment,” said Sarah Carabias Rush, president and CEO of Greater:SATX. “This project brings new jobs, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and international reach to our region, strengthening our competitive position for future growth.”

City officials also emphasised the local impact of the investment.

“We are proud to welcome RGE Group to the Schertz community as it establishes its new manufacturing presence in Park 35,” said Steve Williams, city manager for the City of Schertz. “This investment brings high-quality manufacturing jobs to our region and reinforces Schertz’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing along the IH-35 corridor. We look forward to supporting RGE Group’s continued success in our community.”

RGE Group plans to recruit locally for roles across manufacturing operations, tooling, engineering, and production support. The company is committed to workforce development through training programs, apprenticeships, and long-term career pathways.

A launch event scheduled for September 2026 will celebrate the opening of the facility with industry partners, community leaders, and employees. The event will include a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and an exciting exhibition of RGE’s history and products.
