CyTec Systems UK Introduces the New MechIndex System for Injection Moulds

CyTec Systems UK has announced the launch of the new MechIndex system. Developed by Ermanno Balzi – a globally recognised designer, manufacturer, and distributor of innovative standard components for the plastic injection moulds – this mechanical device is specifically engineered to perform rotary movements of plates directly within a mould.

The MechIndex system is ideally suited for use in multi-material moulds and in tooling applications where it is advantageous to utilise multiple stations for insert replacement or part extraction.

Thanks to its integrated helical guides, the mechanism efficiently and reliably converts the linear motion of the press ejector into a precise rotary movement of the plate. Depending on the selected configuration and the specific requirements of the moulding process, the system can be specified to deliver a rotation of 90°, 120°, or 180°.

By streamlining the rotation process without the need for complex external drives, the MechIndex provides plastic manufacturers with a robust, highly efficient solution to optimise multi-station injection moulding operations.
