Continental Automotive presented ENGEL with the Supplier of the Year 2018 Award for outstanding performance after ENGEL technologies have made a significant contribution to the satisfaction of Continental customers.
Success is only possible as a team: Each summer, the Automotive Group of Continental AG recognises outstanding suppliers from the last completed fiscal year for their contribution to customer satisfaction. The award ceremony is preceded by a comprehensive evaluation process. The criteria evaluated include quality, technology, commitment, costs, and purchasing conditions.
The automotive supplier uses injection moulding machines, robots and integrated system solutions from ENGEL in all of its business units worldwide.
“As a technology company, we greatly appreciate the contribution our suppliers make to the industrialisation of new functions and products,” said Nikolai Setzer, member of the Executive Board of Continental AG and spokesman for the Automotive Board, at the award ceremony in Regensburg, Germany. Günter Fella, Purchasing Manager of Continental Automotive, emphasised: “It is only through close cooperation that the challenges of such a complex system as the car can be mastered. Every Supplier of the Year has been exemplary in his efforts.”
ENGEL received the award in the injection moulding machine category. ENGEL supplies 14 Continental locations worldwide with a wide range of injection moulding machines, automation and integrated system solutions. Among other things, instrument panels, sensor housings and door lock systems are produced on ENGEL injection moulding machines.
