GOM UK Announce Summer Dates for Automated Metrology Tour

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Following the successful launch of their Automation Tour at the NCC in Bristol back in March, GOM is bringing its mobile automated metrology system, the GOM ScanCobot, to the North this Summer.

The latest events are being hosted by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) at the AFRC Centre in Glasgow, and by the Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SAM) project at the Industry Centre in Sunderland.

GOM will be showing the benefits of automated metrology through interactive live technical sessions showcasing:

Productivity gains

See live how automated 3D scanning outperforms traditional measuring techniques.

Batch Processing

Self-contained systems to measure multiple parts leaving your valuable measurement technicians free for other tasks.

Smart Teach

The system optimises for fast, automated programming to ensure automated scanning is the right solution even for one-offs or small batches of parts.

Kiosk Mode

The “electronic operator” takes care of the process and steps through each stage of measurement and reporting.

Reduction in Manual Handling

Why have skilled measurement technicians manually position devices to capture results when this can be automatically completed by a robot?

Register now for your chosen event. GOM UK is even giving you the chance to bring along a part of your own to be scanned on the GOM ScanCobot to how the speed, ease of programming, data capture and information-rich reports could improve your production processes.

GOM ScanCobot is a mobile measuring station with a collaborative robot, a motorised rotation table and powerful GOM Suite software. In a short measuring time, the optical ATOS Q 3D scanner captures quality information at a high level of detail, providing a reliable basis for easy interpretation.

There are two events happening in June:

National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS)
AFRC, Glasgow
Tuesday 21st June 2022

Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SAM)
The Industry Centre, Sunderland
Wednesday 29th June 2022

Drop-in sessions are from 9.00am – 1.00pm with light refreshments available. The event is free to attend.
