ICS Cool Energy Introduces HVO Fossil-Free Diesel Fuel for More Sustainable Heating
Temperature control specialist ICS Cool Energy has announced that from April 1, 2022, it will introduce the Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fossil-free, diesel fuel as an option for its generator, boiler and heater hire product portfolio.
The biodegradable HVO is a more sustainable fuel alternative to traditional diesel and leads to a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as well as Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) and particulate matter pollution (PM) from the burner or engine, with unchanged performance. The HVO biodiesel can be used as a drop-in replacement or mixed with regular diesel, with no requirements for engine or burner modifications or more frequent maintenance intervals.

ICS Cool Energy offers industrial boiler hire all year round for hot water, heating and process temperature control applications with up to 2MW of capacity, delivering temperatures of 90°C for industries, buildings and applications of all sizes. The portable heater range contains fan heaters, IDF heaters, radiators and more with capacities up to 200kW, suitable for a wide range of temperatures for events and longer-term installations.
Additionally, ICS Cool Energy offers fuel management service, fuel sales and deliveries or an all-encompassing solution, including nationwide fuel monitoring and fuel management, as part of the hire agreement. ICS Cool Energy can track customers’ fuel levels using the ICSLink remote monitoring service to provide real-time information and fuel level alarms throughout the hire project without visiting the site.
