JSP and General-Industries Deutschland Reinforce Recycling Partnership
Producer of plastic foams, JSP, acquires a stake in the leading European EPP recycler, General-Industries Deutschland GmbH. The investment secures market access to high-quality recyclates and is in line with the Group’s Vision 2027 and sustainability strategy.
JSP International GmbH & Co KG, a consolidated subsidiary of JSP Corporation, acquired a 30% stake in the foam recycling (EPP / EPE) business of General-Industries Deutschland GmbH. In the preliminary stages of this transaction, GID carved out its non-foam business into General-Industries Polymere GmbH.

JSP and GID already entered into a strategic partnership in 2019 to develop PP regranulates with recyclate content to produce expanded PP beads under the JSP brand name ARPRO RE.
GID has collected, sorted, compacted and regranulated EPP / EPE waste from packaging and production waste from European processors for over 25 years. Its core competence is decentralised compacting using 25 compactors and central regranulation at the production site in Eschwege. Customers of PP Regranulates include raw material manufacturers, compounders and injection moulding manufacturers.

As part of the transaction, JSP will gain market access to secondary raw materials, a comprehensive network in plastics recycling and expertise in processing secondary raw materials. The location in Kassel & Eschwege will be retained, and Matthias Henning will continue to act as the Managing Director.
