Key Speakers Announced at Europe’s Leading Plastics Recycling Event

IdentiPlast 2019, the leading European event focused on the recycling and recovery of used plastics, has announced several high-profile speakers.

Among the speakers are Dr Nina Maier from the German Environment Agency who will be examining the role of Plastics in a Circular Economy and Marcus Gover, CEO at WRAP — a UK charity devoted to promoting the sustainable use of resources.

Presenter and academic Professor Mark Miodownik will engage the audience speaking about sustainability issues, and Stuart Hayward-Higham, Technical Development Director of Suez, will explore how collection and sorting is the vehicle to increasing recycling.

IdentiPlast 2019 is organised by PlasticsEurope and supported by the British Plastics Federation. It takes place on 7 and 8 March 2019 at the QE2 Centre in the heart of London’s political quarter, opposite Westminster Abbey and a two-minute walk from the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

The event will feature two full days of presentations and discussions, as well as a networking dinner, which will take place in a prestigious venue adjacent to Trafalgar Square and London’s Theatre District. There will also be the opportunity to undertake a pre-event tour of a recycling facility in the London area.

PlasticsEurope Director of the North Region, Kim Christiansen, states:

We are delighted with the exciting speaker line up for IdentiPlast 2019. The conference is successfully bringing together key players and thought leaders within the plastics recycling industry for what is shaping up to be one of the most important recycling conferences in several years.’
