MGS Technical Plastics, a Lancashire-based injection moulding company, has shared further progress in its sustainability improvements. The company has significantly reduced its average monthly CO₂ emissions, reporting a 49.4% cut since it began recording its carbon footprint in 2020.

The company reports that its average monthly CO₂ emissions have dropped from 23.2 in 2020 to 11.75 in 2025, a huge improvement over the five years. This reduction reflects the changes MGS has introduced across its operations as part of its ongoing efforts.

MGS’s improvements show that the progress made has been made by meaningful operational improvements and the efforts from its team. Sustainability continues to be an important area of focus for the business. The figures show how the work represents a step in the right direction as the company continues to review and improve its environmental performance.

MGS also made clear that it sees sustainability as an ongoing process rather than a finished task. The company is still committed to building on these results and finding further opportunities to reduce its environmental impact in the future.

The update forms part of MGS Technical Plastics’ wider focus on continuous improvement, with the business continuing to assess how changes across its operations can deliver measurable benefits both internally and environmentally.
