NovaCool Solutions Ltd, an engineer-led industrial process cooling specialist, has announced the availability of its engineered plastics chiller range. The systems are designed for plastics processing applications, including injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, and thermoforming, and are available now with units held in UK stock for rapid dispatch.

Founded by two engineers with a combined 53 years of hands-on industry experience, NovaCool operates nationwide from its base at in Andover. Director Alistair Michie brings over 25 years in industrial process temperature control, spanning field engineering through to leadership roles. Director Shane Stewart has 28 years of experience across engineering, service management, and technical delivery.

NovaCool specialises in the design, supply, installation, maintenance, and emergency support of industrial process chiller systems, supporting sectors including plastics processing, food and beverage, brewing, pharmaceuticals, and OEM applications. The company’s “Cooling Done Differently” philosophy is built around an engineer-led model, where customers deal directly with experienced engineers who understand process environments, typical failure modes, and the operational impact of downtime.

As part of this approach, NovaCool includes more as standard within its service packages, rather than positioning these as chargeable add-ons. NovaCool is registered with REFCOM and operates compliantly across refrigerant handling and system servicing.

The engineered plastics chiller range is available in air-cooled, water-cooled, and glycol-based configurations, specified around real process heat loads, cycle times, and site conditions. Chillers utilising low-GWP refrigerants, including R454B, R515B, R1234ze, and R290, are available.

For plastics manufacturers, stable and repeatable cooling supports consistent cycle times, protects mould tools, and helps reduce defects linked to cooling instability. NovaCool states that correct chiller specification can also support lower energy costs through appropriate sizing, intelligent controls, and free-cooling integration where applicable. The business also offers planned preventative maintenance contracts, emergency breakdown cover, water treatment services, and chiller hire solutions.

“Plastics processing lives and dies by temperature control, and yet the cooling systems serving those processes are often undersized, poorly commissioned, or running on refrigerants that are already facing regulatory headwinds. We set up NovaCool to fix that, with systems that are correctly engineered from the start, supported by people who understand what happens on a production floor, and future-proofed for regulatory changes already in motion,” said Shane Stewart, Director, NovaCool Solutions Ltd.
