Plastic Matters is returning to the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Exhibition 2026, running from 3rd to 5th February at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. Building on the strong turnout and conversations generated in 2024 and 2025, PlastikCity, Sierra 57 Consult and PS Partnerships will once again come together under the Plastic Matters banner on stand K265 to show how their combined services support UK and Irish manufacturers.
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics brings together over 550 exhibitors and more than 10,000 manufacturing and electronics professionals in one place. The event aims to help manufacturers and engineers find new suppliers, hosting live technology demonstrations and providing practical insights from expert-led seminars, whether the priority is cutting costs, improving efficiency, or accelerating innovation.
Who makes up Plastic Matters?
Plastic Matters is the collaboration of three specialist businesses, each focused on solving different manufacturing challenges.
Will Clarke and Dan Russell will represent PlastikCity and its sister company, PlastikMedia. PlastikCity is making procurement easier and quicker, while PlastikMedia provides marketing services specialised to the plastics industry. Over 260 partners cover around 400 categories of materials, equipment and services. PlastikCity is built to modernise how the industry sources what it needs, giving manufacturers a choice of suppliers and the ability to compare quotes efficiently. All partners are selected for their track record and the quality of the equipment or services they provide.
Suzanne Johnston from PS Partnerships will be attending to discuss regulatory, compliance, technical, and sustainability consultancy. PS Partnerships supports businesses that use plastics in their products, processes and packaging, combining practical plastics consultancy with training and structured support. The business covers regulatory compliance, management systems, sustainability services, and specialist support such as expert witness and due diligence for plastic product failure or intellectual property disputes. The team also delivers training across topics, including plastics sustainability, fundamentals of plastics, plastics in medical devices, and risk and quality management.
Mark Lawson, Ivor Griffiths and the Sierra 57 Consult team will share insights into recruitment strategy, training delivery, and workforce development. Sierra 57 delivers award-winning, IOM3-accredited training and development for the UK plastics industry, with specialist modules in injection moulding, materials, extrusion, blow moulding, hydraulics and pneumatics. All training is delivered on-site, tailored to shift patterns, and broken into manageable modules to support immediate on-the-job application. Its experienced team of IMM trainers and mould development engineers also provide contract support for moulding operations, covering skills gaps and supporting NPI and tool validation projects as needed.

Live Cobot Demonstration from FANUC
Visitors will also be able to see a live demonstration of the FANUC CRX-10iA collaborative educational robot cell. The demo links directly to the wider focus from Sierra 57 Consult and its partners on automation, training and upskilling, including the joint robotics and injection moulding training programme delivered with FANUC UK at the FANUC Academy in Coventry. The 6-axis cobot cell is designed for safe, hands-on interaction and quick learning, with tablet-based programming, iRVision capability and integrated safety features, plus a 10 kg payload and 1,250 mm reach.
“We’re thrilled to bring the FANUC cobot to Farnborough this year,” said Mark Lawson, Group CEO at Sierra 57 Consult. “It’s a great conversation starter for anyone looking to explore automation or training within their facility and a real draw for manufacturers keen to understand how these technologies can improve productivity and safety.”
Plastic Matters invites all attendees at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics to drop by stand K265 to explore how its combined services can help solve real-world challenges across the supply chain.
