Plastribution Discusses Oil and the Impact on Polymer Pricing in New Know-How Snippets

Several factors are coming into play this month in regard to oil pricing. In Plastribution’s latest edition of Price Know-How Snippets, Ian, Katherine and Mike explain their thoughts on how this will affect the polyolefins market here in the UK.

Plastribution distributes thermoplastic raw materials for injection moulding, extrusion and blow moulding industries. Sourced from major petrochemical producers, the company supplies a full range of polyolefins, styrenics, engineering polymers, specialities, masterbatches and custom compounds.

The UK polymer distributor produces a monthly publication called Price Know-How, giving customers up-to-date information on polymer pricing and availability. Price Know-How aims to be relevant by providing an overview, material group-specific reports and more general economic information, including exchange rates and GDP growth.

This year, Plastribution is making Price Know-How even more accessible with the introduction of Price Know-How Snippets. Price Know-How Snippets is a new video content platform created by Plastribution. The company aims to get pertinent information to buyers at the start of each month and sees a panel of three experts discuss the factors that are likely to affect polymer pricing and availability.

Watch the video below where Ian Chisnall, Product Manager of Polyolefins, Katherine White, Commercial Director for Thermoplastics, and Mike Boswell, Managing Director at Plastribution, discuss ethylene and propylene, more specifically what has happened to crude oil pricing and NAFTA.
