Rapid Granulator reinforces its position as a global leader in plastic recycling technology with the launch of five major innovations at K 2025 in Düsseldorf (October 8–15, Hall 9, Booth D10). With a clear focus on enhanced safety, improved operator efficiency, and advanced digitalisation, these launches address today’s key challenges in recycling operations.

Heavy-duty performance and unmatched safety – 800 Series

Rapid introduces the 800 Series, the company’s largest and most advanced granulator to date. Designed for high-volume, wet granulation, it combines extreme processing power with groundbreaking safety features – including a unique rear-access system for faster, safer, and more ergonomic maintenance.

Instant protection from metal contamination – RMD (Rapid Metal Detection)

RMD is a revolutionary safety system for slow-speed granulators that instantly halts the rotor when metal is detected – protecting the critical knife interface without interrupting production. Fully integrated and invisible during operation, the system works with standard knives and offers maximum flexibility and efficiency.

A new standard in edge trim feeding – RFE Roller Feeder

With a compact design, quiet operation, and smart functionality, the RFE Roller Feeder sets a new benchmark for continuous edge trim feeding. It features clear access for cleaning and fast roll gap adjustment, allowing operators to switch widths in seconds and ensuring seamless production in modern manufacturing lines.

Expanded GT Series for thermoforming – GT1600

The GT1600 expands Rapid’s trusted GT Series, engineered specifically for wider skeletal waste in sheet and film thermoforming. With one-sided access to wear parts, modular flexibility, and robust capacity, GT1600 is built to meet the demands of continuous production while maximising material reuse and uptime.

Real-time digital control at the machine – Predict

Completing the lineup is Predict, an advanced addition to the Rapid Connect digital platform. Through local LED Matrix and Stream displays, operators gain immediate insight into machine performance directly at the point of production – enabling faster decision-making, lower energy consumption, and improved efficiency.

With these five product launches, Rapid continues to lead the way in granulation technology – from intelligent digital tools to safer, more efficient machines,” says Anders Mårtensson, Sales & Marketing Director at Rapid Group.
