Plastics industry recruitment and training specialist Sierra 57 Consult has announced the promotion of Vince Green to Technical and Compliance Manager. With almost 32 years of experience in the moulding industry, Green brings extensive technical knowledge and practical manufacturing expertise to the position, having spent the previous 20 months working as a Technical Trainer within the business.
The promotion represents the next stage in Green’s career with Sierra 57 Consult, combining his existing responsibilities in technical training and project management with a greater focus on compliance and maintaining high standards across the company’s training activities.
Commenting on his promotion, Vince Green said: “I’m delighted to be taking on greater responsibility.”
Extensive Injection Moulding and Training Experience
Throughout his career, Green has developed significant experience in the moulding industry, drawing on this technical background to deliver practical training and support for customers.
During his time as Technical Trainer, he has developed a comprehensive collection of videos, photographs and samples from previous projects, using real-world examples to help trainees understand how theoretical knowledge can be applied in manufacturing environments.
Green has also supported technical projects outside the training environment, including working with an automotive manufacturer on tooling projects during 2026. This involved collaborating with the manufacturer’s technical team on design for manufacture (DFM) and tool design in a demanding production environment.
The experience strengthened his understanding of the value of combining technical expertise with collaboration, while providing opportunities to work alongside experienced automotive engineers.
Supporting Training Standards and Compliance
In his new role, Green will help maintain Sierra 57 Consult’s technical and compliance standards while supporting the continued development of its training programmes.
The company’s training is accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), making the maintenance of training quality and relevance an important part of his responsibilities.
Green will also focus on strengthening collaborative relationships with IOM3 and other strategic partners, alongside supporting the development of training that reflects changing technologies and industry requirements.
Discussing his priorities, Green explained: “My priority is to build on the excellent work already being done at Sierra 57.”
Alongside his new compliance responsibilities, Green intends to continue his involvement in technical training and project management, supporting customers and colleagues as the business develops.
His appointment reflects Sierra 57 Consult’s continued focus on technical knowledge, professional development and delivering specialist training for the plastics manufacturing industry.
