Renmar Plastics Machinery believes building strong relationships with their customers is paramount to success. This was accentuated when they started working with Formula Plastics.
Newton Aycliffe based Formula Plastics have been trading for more than twenty years, steady growth bringing current annual turnover to around £4 million.Their technical expertise in specialities such as twin-shot moulding has established them as leading tier 2 moulders within the automotive sector.
Products including under body, instrument panel and HVAC components and assemblies, are now supplied to most UK OEMs. Additional business is also coming from non-automotive sources, resulting in significant investment in new equipment to meet this growing demand.
Over £600k has been spent on new Engel injection moulding machines since 2016, providing a wide tonnage range of 50 to 650T.
As impressive as this machine portfolio is, the accuracy and reliability of the associated ancillary equipment is just as vital to Formula and their customers. The company has developed a strong partnership with Renmar Plastics Machinery. Recent purchases include several material dryers, loaders, dosing units and mould heaters.
Formula’s Production Director, Geoff Hodgson commented:
“We believe continuous investment in our machinery and people are key to ensuring plans for future growth are successful. Over the past twenty-one years, Formula Plastics have gained a reputation for producing quality plastic mouldings. Building relationships with industry experts and suppliers along the way has played a fundamental part in achieving our growth targets.
“By continuingly investing in the latest equipment, including the ancillary equipment sourced from Renmar Plastics, we can improve our performance, ensuring we remain as leading suppliers to various tier 1 companies across the UK. Renmar’s support has helped ensure that installation projects are delivered on time and to budget.”
Close collaboration with their suppliers over many previous years has contributed to the position that Formula Plastics have attained. But what about the future?
“There is a wealth of industry experience in UK Injection moulding. The industry continues to go from strength to strength and Formula, with the help of our suppliers, intend to be a part of that success”.
