VinylPlus UK Announces Free Seminar

On 13 December, the British Plastics Federation (BPF) will run the VinylPlus UK Seminar 2023, sponsored by VinylPlus UK. It’s a half-day online event offered free to industry professionals.

Dr Chris Howick, Head of Product Regulation at INOVYN, will begin the seminar by providing attendees with an in-depth overview of the latest UK legislative updates. Topics will encompass the Waste Shipment Directive, Lead in PVC, REACH, and critical findings from the RAMBOLL Report.

Following Dr. Howick’s presentation, Pat Hermon, Technical Lead for Sustainable Products at BRE, will focus on the significance of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) within the PVC industry, emphasising their role in driving best practices and sustainability.

Miguel Cambeiro, Senior Editor at S&P Global Commodity Insights, will give attendees an expert analysis of the global market trends shaping the PVC sector.

In addition to a panel discussion on the future of PVC, the event will also cover:

  • Sustainable Use of Additives in PVC – Stéphane Content, Senior Technical Advocacy Manager at VinylPlus.
  • VinylPlus Update: European Perspective and Progress – Nigel Sarginson, Advocacy Expert at VinylPlus.
