Wittmann Battenfeld UK will exhibit at the increasingly popular Southern Manufacturing exhibition, Farnborough, Tuesday February 6-8th.
Barry Hill, Managing Director and Paul Dummer, Area Sales Manager will both be in attendance for the company throughout the three day show. Full details of the latest injection moulding machines, robots and ancillary equipment will be made available together with Wittmann Battenfeld marketing and event plans for the coming year.
Southern Manufacturing will also see WIBA UK unveil details of new opportunities for owners of Battenfeld Injection Moulding Machines. ‘April 1, 2018 is the tenth anniversary year of the Wittmann acquisition of Battenfeld,’ says Hill, ‘and we intend to make it a special and memorable one for the Wittmann Battenfeld brand and for owners of the equipment.’
Hill adds that ‘if you can’t make it to Farnborough in February then don’t worry; Wittmann Battenfeld UK will be producing an event in April 2018 that will unravel the jargon behind Industry 4.0 – how it makes for more intelligent, connected and secure injection moulding.
‘Connectivity is the key to the plastics processing of the future,’ says Hill. ‘Industry 4.0 (or the Smart Factory concept) opened the door and Wittmann 4.0 is a practical outcome that simplies shop floor operational life and makes all processes more secure.’
Wittmann 4.0 means that WIBA UK customers have been able to source materials, handling, drying and temperature control units in the knowledge that all of these plastics processing units will seamlessly interact together via just one B8 control and interface, supplied with today’s Wittmann Battenfeld injection moulding machines.
