The Wittmann Group is preparing for a significant presence at Interplas 2026, where the company will present the latest innovations in 4.0 technology. Following its successful demonstration of the Chinese‑built EcoPrimus at Chinaplas 2026, the group is now turning its focus to the UK, where Interplas visitors will be offered an insight into Wittmann’s integrated, data‑driven approach to modern injection moulding production.

The Wittmann Chinaplas ’26 exhibition booth also hosted a high level of interest in the company’s digitised and 4.0 solutions. The reason? Possibly because Wittmann is still the only company in the world to offer end-to-end digitisation solutions across the entire injection moulding process.

From polymer material handling to injection moulding and inline recycling to integration into higher-level IT systems, the Wittmann approach enables future-oriented functions such as self-optimising processing or “Plug & Produce” within the production cell. Digitalisation and networking are becoming increasingly important within supply chains for efficiency, quality and competitiveness.

The four main categories of Wittmann 4.0 – Smart Machine, Smart WorkCell, Smart Services and Smart Production – offer a comprehensive solution for all the challenges of modern production.

The modular library of Wittmann 4.0 provides numerous Industry 4.0 technologies. These include intelligent functions for the self-optimisation of devices, a uniform platform for data transfer between injection moulding machines and auxiliaries, as well as modules for service and maintenance.

These solutions typically partner with TEMI + Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) systems in order to provide injection moulders with a complete and connected production system.

Leading UK injection moulders such as Dr Stephen Pepper’s Rugby Plastics have grabbed the Wittmann 4.0 technology with both hands in order to deploy very advanced and integrated manufacturing systems.

The Temi+ MES system acts as a production planning and monitoring facility – integrating data capture, cell monitoring, KPIs, machine status and tooling scheduling.

The very latest Wittmann innovations in 4.0 technology are expected to be unveiled on the company’s exhibition stand at Interplas, NEC, June 2nd-4th, 2026.
