Wittmann celebrated its bigger ever exhibition stand at the K 2025 show last week with a plethora of injection moulding machinery (IMM) innovation that is set to save UK moulders time, energy, space and cost.

Under the banner “It’s all Wittmann” the company’s new IMM solutions were the core of a Wittmann systems approach to manufacturing solutions – ‘plug in and produce’ technology that appealed to all production needs and budgets.

Whether Vertical, DC drive, Macro, Eco, Smart or MicroPower – all Wittmann IMMs now feature a very compact build in 3 dimensions, class-leading energy efficiency and process control, together with the largest possible platen size – relative to locking force – all of the above, in order to optimise machine value and technology.

Wittmann’s new EcoPrimus attracted a good deal of K crowd attention, ditto the new one-piece MacroPower – a grafting of the cost-effective Primus concept onto the company’s leading energy saving IMM – the EcoPower.

Wittmann’s commitment to the circular economy was evident in its DC powered moulding machines. Those UK injection moulders who have lately invested in solar panels to help offset company energy costs may well now find that their new solar energy is capable of further improving the bottom line by powering Wittmann IMMs directly.

Wittmann continues to develop its popular Vertical IMM machinery range: This year’s K Show featured a highly automated cell with a VPower 160/525 R 1600 machine. The machines from this series stand out by virtue of their 2-tie-bar rotary table concept, which offers optimal accessibility by dispensing with a central tie-bar. Another attractive feature of this machine is its high speed, saving valuable production time.

Wittmann multi-component technology was handled once again by the MacroPower series – again deploying a space saving rotary table. Stunning state-of-the art space saving, however, was demonstrated by a Wittmann SmartPower Insider IMM model. In this case the parts removal robot, here a W918, the conveyor belt and the auxiliary equipment for upstream and downstream processing were all integrated inside the machine, thus presenting the entire system as a single compact unit.

Wittmann’s micro moulding technology unquestionably leads the global field – and was further demonstrated at K 2025 by a MicroPower 15/10, manufacturing a ‘lab-on-a-chip’ from transparent PP and handled by a Wittmann robot model W9VS2 specially designed for this machine.

A quality showing of exhibition visitors demonstrated keen interest all across this technology board. Enquiries and orders are likely to keep all Wittmann sales personnel busy for some months to come.
