Plastic Matters will return to the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Exhibition 2026, taking place from 3rd to 5th February at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. Following a strong presence in 2024 and 2025, the collaboration between PlastikCity, Sierra 57 Consult, and PS Partnerships will once again showcase its unique suite of services for the plastics and manufacturing sectors on stand K265.
Combining expertise in recruitment, training, marketing, compliance, technical consultancy, and more, Plastic Matters offers an integrated approach to supporting UK and Irish manufacturers. Visitors to the 2026 stand can expect practical insights, real-world solutions, and an exciting new addition designed to draw attention and start conversations.
Live Cobot Demonstration from FANUC
New for 2026, the Plastic Matters stand will feature a live demonstration of the FANUC CRX-10iA Collaborative Educational Robot Cell. Developed to support hands-on training in automation, this 6-axis collaborative robot is designed for safe, real-time interaction, complete with tablet-based programming, iRVision capabilities, and intuitive safety features.
This addition reflects the growing importance of automation and upskilling in the sector, as well as the ongoing partnership between FANUC UK and Sierra 57 Consult, who have jointly launched a robotics and injection moulding training programme. Held at the FANUC Academy in Coventry, the course helps close the manufacturing skills gap by combining FANUC’s cutting-edge automation technologies with Sierra 57’s in-depth industry training expertise.
“We’re thrilled to bring the FANUC cobot to Farnborough this year,” said Mark Lawson, Group CEO at Sierra 57 Consult. “It’s a great conversation starter for anyone looking to explore automation or training within their facility and a real draw for manufacturers keen to understand how these technologies can improve productivity and safety.”
A Stand Not to Miss
As in previous years, visitors to the Plastic Matters stand can meet key team members:
- Suzanne Johnston from PS Partnerships will be on hand to discuss regulatory, compliance, technical, and sustainability consultancy.
- Mark Lawson, Ivor Griffiths and the Sierra 57 Consult team will share insights into recruitment strategy, training delivery, and workforce development.
- Will Clarke and Becca Watt will represent PlastikCity and PlastikMedia, discussing procurement tools, lead generation services, and specialist marketing support.
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics remains a key fixture in the UK’s engineering calendar, and Plastic Matters invites all attendees to drop by stand K265 to explore how its combined services can help solve real-world challenges across the supply chain.
