Advanced Plastics Group Board Introduction Announcement
The Advanced Plastics Group are pleased to introduce their recently formed board of directors, assembled to continue to meet their ambitious growth targets following the acquisition of the Protool Plastics Group and to build upon the success of receiving the PIA Processor of the Year award in 2022.
Joint CEO’s Rob Anderson and Chris Pearson head up the group, taking a step back from day-to-day operations to focus on leading group strategy.
Rob, one the founding members of Advanced Plastics in 1992 has been pivotal in building the company’s leading reputation and continually enhancing its operational and technical capability during his 31-year tenure.
Chris joined Advanced Plastics in 2007, relinquishing a senior management position with Japanese-parented Nifco UK, and has led the company’s transformation from SME to a £38M turnover multi-site group with over 300 team members.
Group Managing Director Mark Spence joined Advanced Plastics in early 2022 as Operations Director and is now responsible for the group’s three manufacturing sites in Hull, Fareham and Manchester.
Mark brings 30 years of Leadership, NPI Engineering and Operational Excellence experience to the team, having worked globally with executive teams across the Far East, the Americas & Europe, supplying Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical & Industrial OEM & Tier 1 customers.
Group Sales Director Michael Hadfield recently completed the transition from Protool Plastics Group MD and now heads up Sales and Business Development for the group whilst continuing to service Protool Group customers.
With 41 years of experience in the plastics industry, Michael brings a wealth of technical, tooling and moulding knowledge gained in various market sectors. Michael is passionate about recycling and circular economy-focused design and is responsible for significant recycled content in European lighting and telecommunications products. He brings 29 years of room experience with focus on business growth and delivering results in line with shareholder expectations.
We are pleased to welcome Lindsey Arand to the board as Group Commercial Director.
Lindsey has previously held key commercial positions with some of the major global Tier 1 players in the automotive industry. He has led global key account management and business development activities for various OEMs in Europe, Far East and North America. More recently Lindsey has also been developing product portfolios with significant non-automotive organisations to enhance their moulded plastic supply base solutions.
Jonathan Heasty joined Advanced Plastics in 2020 in the role of Financial Controller, becoming Finance Director in 2021 and now Group Finance Director, he holds executive responsibility for Group Finance, IT, HR and leading on further strategic business acquisitions.
He is a strong leader and a driven finance professional who is highly goal-orientated and prides himself on his pragmatic approach to solutions. Using his ability to focus on the future, the current state, and historical performance, Jonathan is a keen strategist who enjoys collaborating to overcome business challenges and achieve success.
