Belgrade Polymer Products ‘Noses Ahead’ in the Energy Sector

Belgrade Polymer Products claims it is ‘nosing ahead’ in the renewable energy sector by offering proven expertise in manufacturing bespoke ABS nose cones for wind turbines.

Thanks to developments in prototype testing, sample production and equipment investment, the Wellingborough thermo-forming specialist can supply energy companies with a comprehensive service tailored to their exact requirements.

Nose cones for medium-sized wind turbines are available in black or white from stock or any colour can be specified, subject to a minimum order quantity. Belgrade can supply customers in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

“We are well placed to serve the growing wind energy market with a range of in-house specialist and flexible capability,” comments Patrick Burke, Belgrade General Manager.

“We can undertake the complete process of product development from design and prototype to manufacturing items to customers’ bespoke specifications. Typical nose cone products supplied measure up to around 1.6m in diameter.”

Belgrade Polymer Products takes a fully-integrated approach to its whole manufacturing operation with a ‘zero waste’ philosophy where no plastic goes to incineration or landfill. Its ‘closed-loop’ manufacturing process contributes to this process with in-house sheet extrusion, vacuum-forming and recycling, enabling the business to boost its eco-credentials.

Patrick adds: “We pride ourselves on our sustainable manufacturing systems – something that our renewables clients can identify with!”

Belgrade Polymer Products is ISO9001-accredited and one of the UK’s leading vacuum-forming and injection-moulding companies. Manufacturing bespoke products for a diverse range of market sectors, it has specialist expertise at manufacturing prototype items that can be quickly converted into large scale production.
