Boddingtons to Exhibit at Medical Technology UK

Leading medical device manufacturer, Boddingtons, will set out a complete stall of all its manufacturing services and competences at the Medical Technology UK show, taking place from March 16-17 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Expansion and innovation continue to be the main themes at the Kent-based manufacturer, where continual investment in advanced cleanroom injection moulding technology is helping to drive medical device sales and further widen the opportunities for the company.

Boddingtons CEO Andy Tibbs said: “We are really looking forward to the Medical Technology UK event – not just for ourselves but also for the whole industry; colleagues, competitors and, above all, our medical customers.

“The timing feels absolutely right – giving us all a chance to shake off the COVID blues and to get down to redesigning and producing products for a sector which now needs to catch up on even further growth.”

Boddingtons was one of the first to sign up for Medical Technology UK – the brainchild of medical marketing experts Colin Martin and Jason Moss.

Colin Martin said: “We see our new annual show as part of a bid to strengthen the UK’s reputation as a global centre of excellence for medical device design development and manufacturing. After all, much of the supply side has undergone a sea change – quickly learning and applying the lessons of the COVID pandemic.

“We hope to encourage these practitioners to help energise the medical sector even more – supplying proactive innovation, global cost-efficiency and supply chain benefits in the coming months.”

Martin added: “Clinical need in the UK and around the world is arguably at an all-time high right now. With massive demand on manufacturers and the supply chain, sourcing essential supplies and equipment to support product development and manufacture is more difficult than ever. Medical Technology UK will step up and bridge that gap.”

To complement the exhibition of over 125+ specialist medical device companies, the event also features a Learning Programme and a Women in MedTech Forum. The show experience has been designed to inform and educate the medical device manufacturing community through a packed two days of face to face meetings and activities.

Over the past five years, Boddingtons has ensured that the company continues to be up-to-the-minute in its design and manufacture of new medical products and components – some in relation to COVID-19 – as well as increasing its sales in traditional med-tech and healthcare markets.

Recent investments in Class 7 cleanroom expansions, the Mitutoyo Quick Vision Active CMM machine, and the universal MDSAP medical quality qualification have underlined its staying power and commitment to global medical manufacturing.

Boddingtons’ medical marketing commitment is also keeping step with its manufacturing investments. This coming year presents a full calendar of engagements; following Medical Technology UK (March 16-17), the company will be at the NEC for the two-day Med-Tech Innovation show (June 8-9).

Boddingtons then travels to Galway, Ireland, for the Medical Technology Ireland exhibition (September 21-22), the sister show to Medical Technology UK. The marketing year then concludes at Medica Compamed in Düsseldorf (November 14-17), where the company has been an exhibitor for the past four years.
