Boddingtons Returns to Southern Manufacturing 2018

Award-winning plastics injection moulding manufacturer, Boddingtons, makes its third successive appearance at Southern Manufacturing, equipped with a new modular exhibition stand, new marketing materials and recent success stories from its new £4.6m injection moulding facility.

The new Boddingtons plant was formally opened one year ago by Trade Secretary Lord Digby Jones and is now busily producing a variety of mouldings for medical and technical markets.

Since the plant opening capacity and production has steadily increased. The new advanced moulding environment at Boddingtons now includes; expandable Class 7 cleanrooms, a fleet of eight injection moulding machines, reduced bioburdens and particulates; white room(s) with less fibres and contiminants, disaster recovery safeguards and many other customer benefits.

The new Boddingtons manufacturing facility has been built to the highest standards and will offer improved disabled access; new canteen and meeting facilities, customised computer, communications and server facilities, hardware and software, daylight lighting, ergonomic systems of building control and energy efficiency and many other features.

Boddingtons continues to grow its business through a commitment to excellence in design and in manufacturing. Autumn 2016, for example, saw the company scooping the coveted accolade of Processor of The Year trophy at the UK’s Plastics Industry Awards, September 30th London Hilton.

The company services all facets of the design and manufacturing process – guiding good product ideas and steering projects through to the right position in the market. All manufacturing programmes at Boddingtons come on line through the company’s gated New Production Introduction (NPI) process. This helps ensure that the customer’s financial and timeline risks are minimized.
