BOY at K 2025: Product Premieres and New Designs

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

From October 8 to 15, the international plastics industry will gather at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, where BOY will once again have a strong presence. In Hall 13, Booth A43, the company will showcase nine machines on its own stand and a further seven at partner booths. This will demonstrate not only BOY’s innovative strength but also its close cooperation with other companies in the industry. Visitors can expect a wide range of applications.

A key highlight will be the premiere of the new BOY 20 E PRO. This model replaces the well-known BOY 22 A PRO, offering significantly lower energy consumption while delivering the same performance thanks to state-of-the-art servo drive technology. The machine will also be presented in BOY’s updated design and will be shown producing transparent delicacy bowls, coloured with liquid paint.

In addition to its proven servo-hydraulic machines, BOY will introduce the expanded Electric series. On a BOY 35 Electric, precision and speed will be demonstrated in the production of cable ties. This machine is currently the most compact electromechanical injection moulding machine available on the market. The BOY 80 Electric will showcase a highly precise and dynamic process for manufacturing blood filters, highlighting the advantages of BOY’s machine concept for medical applications, since no hydraulic fluids or lubricants are used in the clamping unit.

Another premiere will be the BOY 100 Electric, a brand-new addition to the programme. This model extends the Electric series upwards with a more powerful injection unit (SP 215) and 100 tonnes of clamping force.

As is characteristic of BOY, there will also be a special highlight at K 2025: the Electric Barista Bar. Here, freshly brewed espresso will be served by a collaborative robot in a preheated espresso cup.

Other exhibits will include:

  • The BOY 125 E with BOY Handling LR 5 and a 2C unit, producing stackable ice cube moulds.

  • BOY 100 E in an extended version with a maximum plate spacing of 900 mm, used for manufacturing pylons. The BOY LR 5 control system is fully integrated into the Procan ALPHA® 6 control platform, combining machine operation and data management while eliminating the costs of a second control system and the EM67 interface.

Another highlight will be the BOY 35 E VV, also equipped with the BOY LR 5. This vertical machine will demonstrate a typical insert moulding process, producing a star knob with three different inserts fully automatically in BOY’s compact style. A flexible separation system is integrated into the production cell so that the operator only needs to replenish the three different inserts as bulk material.

Precision on the smallest scale will also be shown by the BOY XS E, which produces technical parts both economically and with excellent accuracy. At the show, this machine will manufacture a small gear wheel weighing just 0.35 grams.

In addition to its own stand, BOY will also be represented with seven machines on partner booths, underlining both the strong market demand for its solutions and the flexibility of its technology when combined with other applications.

The company looks forward to a successful trade fair, productive discussions, and many visitors.
