Design for Plastic Injection Moulding Webinar | Rutland Plastics

Rutland Plastics has joined forces with Eureka to produce a webinar covering various aspects of plastic injection moulding design. The webinar includes information on mould tools, specifically the choice of material. A section covers which thermoplastics are suited to which applications, including case studies. Design for economy and the environment are also discussed, including bioplastics. The session concludes with an overview of common defects and how to overcome them.

Design for manufacture using the injection moulding process requires a certain approach, with the objective being to design products so that they are easily and economically manufactured, saving on cost, raw materials and energy consumption. Rutland advocates that you take the opportunity to tap into this support early in the design process as it helps de-risk the project and thus avoids costlier modifications later.

Rutland Plastics’ extensive range of over 30 state-of-the-art moulding machines means that almost all trade moulding requirements can be met.
