ENGEL Launches Pay Per Use

ENGEL Launches Pay Per Use

ENGEL is breaking new ground in injection moulding machine sales. As a pioneer in its industry, the machine builder now offers its customers a pay-per-use model in addition to the classic machine purchase. The processor thus reduces investment risk and increases the flexibility of production.

Payment is based on machine utilisation. A fixed price is agreed upon either per unit produced or per machine running time. With the pay-per-use model, the processor avoids the risk of tying up capital and does not have to release a large investment. Procurement can often be completed much more quickly this way.

Another advantage is the safeguarding of high system availability. All production systems supplied in the pay-per-use model are equipped with the online support and remote maintenance tool e-connect.24. ENGEL service technicians regularly service and, if required, take immediate action. Maintenance work can be planned at an early stage in order to keep plant downtimes to a minimum. Machine utilisation is also recorded via e-connect.24 as the basis for billing.

At the end of the agreed contract term, the customer has the option of buying the machine. Alternatively, ENGEL Used Machinery, the used machine company within the ENGEL Group, will take the machine back. Pay per use thus makes a contribution to sustainability. Because the business model ensures that the possible service life of the injection moulding machine is fully utilised.

The financing partner for ENGEL’s new pay-per-use solution is linx4 GmbH, based in Vienna. In the area of injection moulding machines, ENGEL is the first supplier to offer its customers this flexibility.
