Fontijne Presses, a specialised manufacturer of laboratory platen presses and distributed in the UK by Intelicare, has launched the new LabEcon 100, developed for applications requiring extremely precise low-force control.
The new LabEcon 100 has been designed for delicate R&D and testing applications where conventional laboratory presses may deliver too much force and lack the sensitivity required for smaller or more controlled processes. With a force starting from just 0.2 kN, the press provides researchers and manufacturers with a highly accurate solution for specialist material testing and development work.
Typical applications for the LabEcon 100 include drug encapsulation, microfluidics, organ-on-a-chip development, pouch cell battery research, and advanced polymer and composite R&D.
Despite its specialist low-force capability, the LabEcon 100 shares the same compact footprint and ProView control platform as the wider LabEcon series, making it a practical addition for laboratories already familiar with Fontijne Presses’ equipment range.
Intelicare has already supplied the first LabEcon 100 into the UK market, supported by its full after-sales service.
For companies working with polymers, composites or advanced materials, Intelicare can provide guidance on suitable laboratory press solutions and application requirements.
