HASCO Holds HASCOtalks 2026 Discussing Industry Transformation
The German plastics industry is currently facing major challenges and is undergoing constant change. Topics such as transformation, adaptability and new business models are increasingly becoming the focus for companies. HASCO addressed this development with the second edition of its live format, HASCOtalks, and on 7th May 2026 at the Lokschuppen Marburg posed the question: How can transformation be achieved in practice?
Following the successful premiere last year, which focused on the challenges facing the industry, HASCOtalks specifically addressed the opportunities, success factors and concrete approaches involved in shaping transformation processes. Numerous guests from industry and business used the platform for in-depth discussion and to gain new perspectives.
The programme began with a keynote address by Dr Moritz Julian Maier, Senior Researcher at Fraunhofer IAO. In his speech, he provided in-depth insights into the latest research findings and presented various dimensions of transformation using a practical model. It became clear that transformation is particularly important in times of change, enabling companies to adapt to a changing environment. To implement it successfully, it should be considered at different levels.
Based on these findings, high-profile representatives from industry and research discussed key issues surrounding the transformation of the plastics industry. The panel included Dr Moritz Julian Maier (Fraunhofer IAO), Markus Hemmeter (OP Mobility Deutschland SE), Torsten Herrmann (Hehnke GmbH & Co. KG, President of the South Thuringia Chamber of Industry and Commerce) and Kerstin Krallmann (WAGO GmbH & Co. KG).
A key finding of the event was that the ability to adapt is increasingly becoming a decisive competitive factor. Alongside technological innovation, corporate culture, leadership and employee engagement play a particularly significant role. The experts highlighted openness to new approaches and a willingness to critically examine existing structures as fundamental factors for success. “It’s not about the size of the company, but whether the entrepreneurial drive is there,” said Andres Fragoso, summarising the contributions.
The cross-sector dialogue once again proved to be a valuable source of inspiration. The open discussion and intensive exchange – particularly during the networking sessions – offered numerous points of reference for participants’ own business practices.
Participants particularly highlighted the high level of information and the impressive atmosphere of the event.
With HASCOtalks, HASCO once again underlines its commitment to acting as a catalyst and platform for current industry topics. The format has already established itself within a short time as an integral part of dialogue within the plastics industry and will continue to address relevant future topics.
HASCO, the pioneer in mould making, sets the standard for innovation, knowledge transfer and collaborative exchange within the industry.
