IDH Direct Expands Machine Guarding Range
Specialists in storage solutions and material handling IDH Direct has expanded its machine guarding range by adding a brand-new height. Utilising a 2350mm high panel and a 150mm floor gap, the guarding stands with an overall height of 2500mm.
Swindon-based IDH Direct provides a range of security equipment, storage and secure storage solutions, machine guarding, mesh partitioning and panels, and mesh cage products.
As a new product for IDH Direct, the guard is yet to be stocked in the UK. However, the company does have stock available for immediate dispatch currently in its overseas warehouse in Sweden. Due to the product being stored overseas, the current lead time is approximately two to three weeks.
Incoherence with the other systems in its guarding range, the standard colour scheme consists of black panels (RAL9005) and yellow posts (RAL1018). However, should you require it, IDH Direct can supply this system in a range of different colours.
The 2500mm system is part of its ST20 range of machine guarding. All ST20 panels are constructed with a 19mm x 19mm frame, 3mm thick wire and a 20mm x 100mm mesh aperture.
What system suits you?
IDH Direct offers different machine guarding ranges. Each range has a variety of heights, widths and customisations available in order to help meet your requirements. The three ranges offered are ST30 Mesh, ST20 Mesh and STPC Polycarbonate.
ST30 – ST30 mesh is the most popular range of machine guarding. The ST30 system has been designed for environments requiring a high level of safety for dangerous machines and/or moving parts. With the system being tested to withstand an impact of up to 2000 joules, accompanied by the 30mm x 20mm frame and 3mm wire, it is safe to say the ST30 guarding offers a high level of protection.
With ST30 mesh panels ranging from 200mm wide to 1500mm wide kept in stock in IDH Direct’s UK-based warehouse, delivery is available in approximately five to seven business days.
ST20 – The ST20 mesh guarding includes the newly introduced 2500mm height. The ST20 system has been designed for environments requiring a moderate level of safety for dangerous machines and/or moving parts. All ST20 panels are constructed with a 19mm x 19mm frame, 3mm thick wire and a 20mm x 100mm mesh aperture.
All our ST20 products are kept in stock in our warehouse based in Sweden. The approximate lead time for these products is two to three weeks.
STPC – The STPC guarding range allows good visibility of the protected area, while the 3mm thick polycarbonate provides up to 1600 joules of impact protection. Similar to the ST30 range, the frame is 30mm x 20mm.
The STPC range is stocked in the company’s Sweden-based warehouse, available for immediate dispatch. The lead time is approximately two to three weeks.
