Interplas 2017, the UK’s leading plastics industry event, will open its doors to the public in just two weeks.
Under the theme ‘Innovation Happens Here’, the must-attend triennial exhibition is the only event to cover all manufacturing processes, technologies and services encompassing the plastics industry, with almost 500 exhibitors representing the entire value chain on the expanded show floor.
As well as showcases from the biggest names in the global plastics industry and a conference programme jam-packed with high-calibre speakers, there are numerous special features and events to bring added-value to this three-day showcase of the British plastics industry.
To complement the knowledge and analysis top brass on the Main Stage will impart – including presentations from representatives from Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, KPMG and P&G – Interplas 2017 is debuting the Introducing Stage, offering quick-fire, expert seminars for plastics processors. Topics include machinery investment strategy, additives, new materials, testing and inspection. For a full programme, click here.
The Knowledge Pavilion will provide a rare opportunity for visitors to information-gather and network among some of the most influential organisations in the British plastics industry. Representatives from groups including the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA) and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), will be on-hand to discuss R&D, training, regulation and the future.
Manufacturing plastics for medical applications is given its own conference track as part of Mediplas @ Interplas, which includes a feature zone on the show floor, bringing experts in this high-accountability arena together to take enquiries from visitors about guidance and advice about medical product design and processing.
Those seeking to widen their knowledge of how new inspection, testing and measurement technology can benefit their business can attend the Inspex @ Interplas speaker session on September 28th at the Introducing Stage and follow the floor markers to talk to the experts on their stands at Interplas and next door at sister event, TCT Show – one of the worlds leading 3D manufacturing technology events.
Women in Plastics returns to Interplas with a special ‘Drinks and Links’ evening on September 27th, championing females working in the plastics sector. This informal and inclusive reception will feature presentations from influencers and the chance to network, strengthening the good work women are doing to further plastics technology.
Finally, true to the ‘Innovation Happens Here’ theme, Interplas 2017 will premiere the Interplas Innovation Award which will recognise the stand-out innovation an exhibitor has debuted at the show that has the potential to make waves in the industry in the future.
Duncan Wood, Interplas CEO, said: “The theme of this year’s event is ‘Innovation Happens Here’ and you can be sure there will be plenty of new products, services and solutions to see. The show floor will host almost 500 exhibitors alongside a number of exciting show features while top-notch minds from influential organisations across plastics, automotive, packaging and technology will deliver a diverse wealth of knowledge across two conference stages.
