KraussMaffei UK is preparing to present a comprehensive look at the future of plastics processing in Hall 10, Stand L98 / L100 at the upcoming Interplas exhibition. The stand is organised into three dedicated zones: the Machine area, the Technology & Process area, and the Services area. This preview focuses on the technologies, processes and services on display, fully showcasing the breadth of KraussMaffei’s offering to the UK and Irish markets.

The Technology & Process Area: Engineering Competitive Advantage

Visit KraussMaffei UK at the Interplas Trade Fair, at the NEC Birmingham from 2nd to 4th June 2026, to discover how advanced process integration can yield significant commercial advantages, across a broad range of plastics manufacturing disciplines.

With a stand split into three distinct zones, the “Technology & Process Area” will serve as a hub for manufacturers seeking to optimise material usage and enhance part functionality through highly specialised processing techniques, across the plastic processing spectrum.

  • Integrated Compounding (DCIM & IMC): KraussMaffei will showcase its unique capability to merge the continuous compounding process of extrusion with the discontinuous nature of injection moulding. Through Direct Compounding Injection Moulding (DCIM) and the Injection Moulding Compounder (IMC), processors can formulate bespoke materials in-house, facilitating the use of inexpensive raw materials or recycled resins without compromising mechanical properties.
  • Surface Excellence & Multi-Component Versatility: For high-end aesthetic applications, the Colorform process will be highlighted, demonstrating how a PUR coating can be integrated into the mould to produce ultra-glossy, scratch-resistant surfaces in a single cycle. Complementing this is KraussMaffei’s Sandwich Injection Moulding (Multinject), which allows for the efficient use of 2K technology to encapsulate recycled or foamed core materials within a premium outer skin.
  • Structural Lightweighting & Metal Replacement: The stand will feature Fiberform and Chopped Fiber Processing (CFP). These technologies represent the vanguard of lightweighting, back-injecting organic sheets or blending chopped glass fibres directly into the melt to produce high-strength structural components that serve as viable, cost-effective alternatives to traditional metal assemblies.
  • Medical & Silicone Precision: To meet the rigorous demands of the life sciences sector, KraussMaffei will detail its Cleanform technology—fully integrated cells certified up to ISO Class 5—and its SilcoSet solutions for the high-precision processing of Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) and High Consistency Rubber (HTV).

The Service Area: Ongoing Excellence and Connectivity

Beyond the machine footprint, KraussMaffei UK is committed to being a long-term partner in its customers’ success. The Services Area at Interplas 2026 is designed to demonstrate how KraussMaffei supports equipment throughout its entire lifecycle to ensure maximum availability and efficiency.

The Services Area will highlight:

  • Operational Availability: Rapid-response technical support via our dedicated UK Helpline and expert Aftersales Services.
  • Process Optimisation: Expert process support, supported by comprehensive Training programmes designed to empower operators and maximise machine throughput.
  • Digital Solutions: Monitor and manage your factory from anywhere with the socialProduction system, or use APCplus to automatically and intelligently compensate for fluctuations in process parameters to keep your production on track.
  • Predictive Maintenance: Showcasing how digital connectivity and expert Repair & Maintenance schedules can transition a fleet from reactive to proactive management.

“At Interplas 2026, we are demonstrating that our expertise extends far beyond the machine,” said Michael Rudd, After Sales Director at KraussMaffei UK. “Our goal is to show exactly how we combine industry-leading technology with the local, dedicated support necessary to drive a competitive advantage for our customers in the UK and Ireland.”

Experience a Unique Breadth of Expertise in One Location

The presence of KraussMaffei at Interplas 2026 represents a unique opportunity for visitors to access a truly comprehensive plastics processing portfolio. While many suppliers specialise in a single discipline, KraussMaffei stands alone in its ability to offer world-class expertise across Injection Moulding, Extrusion, and Additive Manufacturing, as well as a host of other highly specialised manufacturing processes from a single partner.

By visiting the KraussMaffei stand, attendees can consult with technical specialists who understand the interplay between these technologies, ensuring that UK and Irish manufacturers can find the optimal solution for any application, all under one roof.

KraussMaffei UK invites all Interplas attendees to visit Stand L98 / L100 in Hall 10 to witness the UK debut of the all-electric PX injection moulding machine in person, as well as to experience the technology, process and service offerings, in one place.
