JC Moulding Invests in New Haitian MARS Gen 5 Injection Moulding Machines

JC Moulding has continued its investment in modern manufacturing technology with the arrival of two new Haitian MARS Gen 5 injection moulding machines at its South Wales facility.

The new machines replace the two oldest injection moulding machines within the company’s existing fleet, with the outgoing equipment removed and the new Haitian machines delivered on the same day.

Despite being only six years old, the replaced machines form part of JC Moulding’s approach of regularly refreshing its manufacturing equipment. The company said this helps it maintain high levels of production reliability while taking advantage of developments in energy-efficient injection moulding technology.

The latest investment is also intended to help JC Moulding maintain competitive manufacturing costs and continue delivering value for customers as requirements across the UK manufacturing sector become increasingly demanding.

JC Moulding thanked Haitian Group and AIS Flegg Projects for supporting the equipment changeover and ensuring the transition between the outgoing and incoming machinery was completed smoothly.

The company also recognised its production team for maintaining the outgoing machines to a high standard throughout their time in service. According to JC Moulding, the machines left the facility in excellent condition and continued to perform reliably up to their removal.

JC Moulding has more than 30 years of experience in injection moulding and operates from a 3,000 sqm manufacturing facility with a team of more than 50 people. The business provides services covering product design, rapid prototyping, in-house toolmaking, injection moulding, assembly, testing, storage, and logistics.

Its injection moulding operation includes machinery ranging from 25 to 250 tonnes, capable of producing components weighing up to 600g. The company processes materials including PP, PVC, PA6, PA66, ABS, PU, and a range of TPE materials, supporting production requirements from smaller batches through to full-scale manufacturing.

JC Moulding designs, manufactures, repairs, and maintains its mould tooling in-house, forming part of an integrated manufacturing approach that allows the business to manage projects from initial product development through to production and final assembly.

The company said the latest Haitian additions will strengthen its manufacturing capability while supporting its ongoing focus on reliability, energy efficiency, and competitive production.
