BEC Group’s Marketing Manager Katie Reed will participate in The Big Debate: Reshoring and Contract Manufacturing at Interplas on Tuesday 26th September.

Interplas, the UK’s leading plastics exhibition (or as some describe it, the Met Gala of the plastics world) takes place at the NEC in Birmingham this year. Anyone who knows their TPE from their ABS will be in attendance, and what’s more, Interplas are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year!

BEC Group’s marketing manager Katie Reed has been lucky enough to be invited to be a guest speaker on The Big Debate: Reshoring and Contract Manufacturing. Alongside Katie on the panel will sit several other representatives from trade moulders: Rosti Group, Broanmain Plastics and Rutland Plastics.

The discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities of the post-Brexit, post-Covid landscape for manufacturing, the benefits of reshoring for moulders, and the sector’s future. Panellists will be sharing their experiences, how their businesses have adapted over the last several years, and how they expect the future of contract manufacturing to evolve.

As reshoring specialists, BEC Group are well placed to give an insider’s perspective on the global reasons behind manufacturing returning to the UK over the past decade and how it has affected companies such as themselves. BEC will also shed light on how it is preparing as a business for reshoring changes in the future.
