PiovanGroup to Present Advanced Automation Solutions at Interplas 2026

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The PiovanGroup will exhibit at Interplas 2026 from 2nd to 4th June 2026, where visitors will be able to explore a wide range of automation solutions for plastics processing. Representing the Piovan, Thermal Care and Pelletron brands, stand Q50 will feature equipment covering dosing, drying, conveying, process control, temperature control, granulation and material dedusting.

Piovan is a world leader in the development and production of systems for the automation of production processes for the storage, transport and treatment of polymers, plastic and food powders.

Exhibiting again at the triennial trade fair at the NEC Birmingham, Piovan will be providing live demonstrations, virtual reality video content and advising plastics processors across its broad catalogue of auxiliary equipment and digital tools.

Visitors can find the PiovanGroup on Stand Q50 in Hall 9 throughout the exhibition.

Darren Donnelly, Managing Director at PiovanGroup, commented:

“Interplas remains a key event for the UK plastics industry, so we’re delighted to be returning and welcoming visitors to Stand Q50. It provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how PiovanGroup delivers fully integrated, automated solutions across the entire production process.

“This year, we’re showcasing a comprehensive range of technologies from Piovan, Thermal Care and Pelletron, highlighting our capability to support every stage of modern plastics manufacturing.”

“From dosing and drying through to conveying, temperature control, granulation, dedusting and Industry 4.0 integration, visitors will see how our solutions enable greater process control, improved efficiency and full production traceability. Ultimately, our focus is on helping customers achieve more consistent, sustainable, and data-driven manufacturing.”

PiovanGroup’s UK representatives attending the event will include Darren Donnelly, Managing Director; Sales Area Managers Paul Hart, Simone Cera, Steve Dix, and Andrew Gibbens, Thermal Care Product Manager.

The equipment on display on Stand Q50 will include:

Dosing and blending equipment

The Quantum Q50 high-precision gravimetric dosing unit will be on display, designed for accurate material dosing, efficient cleaning and quick material changeovers. Its stainless steel contact surfaces, removable dosing stations and semi-spherical mixing chamber make it suitable for demanding plastics processing environments, including medical and food packaging applications.

PiovanGroup will also showcase the Lybra G Gravimetric dosing unit, equipped with an S50 single-phase loader. The Lybra range offers accurate and repeatable additive dosing, with brushless motor control, angled dosing units and an intuitive touchscreen interface.

Adaptive drying technology

The GMP Adaptive Drying System will demonstrate Piovan’s advanced approach to polymer drying. The system automatically adapts key process parameters, including temperature, dew point and process air flow rate, based on live production data. This supports stable drying performance while helping processors optimise energy use.

Smart Foresight – Advanced Cloud-based service for predictive maintenance

SmartForesight is Piovan’s cloud-based service for predictive maintenance of dehumidification systems (GenesysNext, GN3, GP). It connects the dryers to the cloud, continuously analyses operating data, and signals anomalies or process drifts in advance, helping to prevent unplanned downtime and quality issues

Material conveying and coupling systems

The Handlink Evo manual coupling station will be shown as part of Piovan’s material handling line-up. Designed for quick, secure and error-proof connections between material sources and receivers, Handlink Evo uses RFID tagging and local LED indicators to help prevent incorrect material routing.

The Easy3+ HMI for centralised conveying systems will also be featured. Easy3+ allows processors to manage complex feeding systems from a clear touchscreen interface, with control over multiple vacuum units, receivers, tagging systems and silos.

Industry 4.0 software

Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of Winfactory 4.0, Piovan’s advanced process control and management software. The platform supports automatic recipe setup, production repeatability, raw material and final product batch traceability, alarm management, KPI monitoring and long-term data storage.

Granulation and material recovery

The SL-4C low-speed, screenless granulator will represent Piovan’s granulation technology. Designed for the immediate recovery of sprues and runners, the slow-speed configuration helps reduce dust, heat and noise while producing consistent regrind quality.

Temperature control

Thermal Care Easytherm temperature control units will also be represented on the stand. The range offers precise mould temperature control, intuitive operation and Industry 4.0-ready communication options, supporting injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion applications.

Dedusting

Completing the line-up will be the Pelletron C-20 DeDuster®, developed to remove dust, streamers and angel hair from plastic pellets. The C-20 uses a counter-flow of compressed air to efficiently separate dust from the granules. An integrated ionisation system further enhances performance by eliminating electrostatic attraction between particles, enabling extremely low dust levels, down to just a few tens of ppm.
