Protool Plastics Group Invests for Reshoring Project

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In conjunction with the company’s reshoring initiative, Protool Plastics Group has announced further investment at its Manchester site with the purchase of an Arburg injection moulding machine.

The 130-tonne Arburg Allrounder injection moulding machine will be installed this week, ready for immediate production after the Bank Holiday weekend. The machine will handle a suite of transfer tools from Malaysia, manufacturing personal care products.

This project will reshore a full product range from Malaysia for manufacture in the UK, and the products will be moulded and assembled in Manchester, ready for direct shipment to customer and wholesalers. The product will then be exported from the UK across Europe and North America.

This additional investment comes after stage three of Protool’s multiple-stage expansion plan was completed in July, which included the addition of an extra manufacturing unit at the company’s Manchester facility.

The Protool Plastics Group (Fareham & Manchester) are ready to take your injection moulding enquiries now. For more information, visit www.protoolplast.com.
