Reducing Particle Contamination and Quality Issues with Fraser Anti-Static

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Many medical and pharmaceutical processes generate static electricity. Low humidity, flammable solvents and fine powders often increase the problem.

Fraser Anti-Static Techniques supplies static control equipment worldwide through a network of distributors across five continents. IONCRAFT, Fraser’s distributor in South Korea, recently supported a customer who required effective static control in blister packaging. They supplied Fraser 3014-AIR and 1250-AIR Bars to reduce contamination and maintain product quality.

THE PROBLEM

YOOYOUNG Pharm. is a global healthcare manufacturer producing prescription drugs and medical devices. Their blister packaging line needed stricter control of contamination. Static charges were pulling in dust and foreign particles, creating potential quality issues.

THE SOLUTION

IONCRAFT assessed the line and installed a Fraser 24V DC 3014 Bar with Air Assistance. This included a custom acrylic cover designed to limit particle intrusion at the critical point of the process. A Fraser AC 1250-AIR Bar was fitted in a second location to reduce remaining particle attraction.

THE OUTCOME

  • Reduced particle contamination in tablet packaging.
  • Support for maintaining GMP-level clean production conditions.
  • Reliable performance since installation, with scope for wider adoption.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

A company representative said, “Since installation, production stability has improved significantly. Static-related defects have been reduced. We will consider Fraser products for future projects.
