RGE Group Celebrates Opening of New Plastic Injection Moulding Facility in Schertz, Texas

RGE Group celebrates the official opening of its new U.S. manufacturing facility in Schertz, Texas, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company executives, industry partners, and local community leaders.

The new facility, located in the Greater San Antonio region, represents a significant milestone in RGE Group’s continued international growth. The UK-owned manufacturer, which has established manufacturing operations in the UK and Lithuania, has expanded its global footprint into the United States to provide high-quality plastic injection moulding solutions closer to customers across North America.

The Texas operation enables RGE Group to provide local manufacturing support, shorter lead times and greater supply chain flexibility for American manufacturers, while supporting the growing demand for domestic manufacturing and reshoring opportunities throughout the region.

San Antonio’s strong industrial base, skilled workforce and strategic location have made the region an ideal home for RGE Group’s U.S. operations. The new facility is expected to create up to 50 skilled manufacturing jobs, providing long-term career opportunities for workers across Central Texas.

For more than 60 years, we have specialised in product design, injection mould tooling and injection moulding, helping customers take an idea from the sketchpad all the way through to full-scale production.

Schertz Interim Executive Director of Economic Development, Amy Madison, said “We are delighted to welcome RGE group to the Schertz business community. “By bringing highly specialised moulding capabilities into our backyard, this facility will shorten supply chains, lower logistics costs, and provide a reliable, localised partner for regional producers in automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods sectors.”

The opening ceremony also featured remarks from Schertz City Councilman, Ben Guerrero and Deputy City Manager, Brian James.

Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to tour the new factory and its display area, which showcased RGE Group’s 61-year history and its manufacturing capabilities, from design through to production. Guests also enjoyed a live demonstration of RGE’s 3D printing capabilities.

Comprehensive Manufacturing Capabilities

The RGE Texas Molding facility will provide a range of services under one roof, including; plastic injection moulding, product design, mould development and maintenance, assembly, automation and logistics support.

By combining these capabilities within a single facility, RGE Group can offer customers a turnkey approach to product development and manufacturing.

The opening of the Texas facility marks an important new chapter in RGE Group’s 61-year history, representing a significant step in the company’s growth and commitment to develop long-term manufacturing partnerships in the North American market.
